Was it the April Fool’s joke or is the frenetic discussion over covid passports getting more so every day?

As was pointed out on tv this morning, in Israel entrance into a restaurant is already only permitted with your covid passport. It is happening and it is going to happen world wide. Make no mistake people are still scared of this disease and with good reason. A new report has advised that almost one third of UK covid patients are re-admitted to hospital within four months.

But it gets worse. The report also finds that one in eight patients dies within eight weeks of being discharged from hospital. That means that these deaths are not recorded in the tally of those who died within 28 days of a positive covid test.

Our figures are actually in a terrible mess and it is only when information like this is released that we can begin to appreciate just how serious this disease really is.

And covid does not just stop with the respiratory organs – heart, liver and kidneys are also on its agenda.

As Easter comes up, take care and every measure you can to avoid this terrible scourge. Just because you appear to recover from it, you may well still not be safe.
